Position: Ballot Access Manager (Temporary, Contract)

Organization: Friends of Andrea Campbell (2026 reelection campaign)

Location: Greater-Boston, Massachusetts

Team Campbell is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Ballot Access Manager to contract with Andrea Joy Campbell’s 2026 reelection campaign for Attorney General of Massachusetts. The Ballot Access Manager will lead in executing a volunteer-driven signature collection program to secure Andrea’s place on the Democratic ballot. This role requires previous organizing experience and excellent attention to detail.

About the role:

The Ballot Access Manager will report directly to the Campaign Manager and work closely with campaign consultants to lead the campaign’s efforts to secure Andrea’s position on the 2026 Democratic primary and general election ballots, including signature collection.

The responsibilities of of the Ballot Access Manager will include:

  • Recruiting, training and managing volunteers to build a grassroots organizing program for Team Campbell;

  • Managing all aspects of the signature collection program including setting goals, managing volunteers, tracking collection, submitting signatures for certification, and more;

  • Maintaining relationships with campaign stakeholders and partners throughout ballot access process;

  • Work with Campaign Manager and other members of Team Campbell to contact party delegates and advance ballot access goals through the Democratic caucuses;

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Experience recruiting, training and managing volunteers, required;

  • Experience with VAN or Votebuilder, required;

  • Excellent verbal and written, interpersonal communication skills;

  • Excellent attention to detail and self-organization abilities;

  • Experience and comfort working under tight deadlines and large workloads;

  • Experience with Massachusetts a plus;

  • Passion for reelecting Massachusetts’ only statewide elected official of color.

Salary & location

This is a full-time, paid, temporary contract position, based in greater Boston, MA with an immediate start date. This is a contract position which is expected to end June 1, 2026 at the conclusion of the ballot access window.

This position will require significant travel within Massachusetts, including evening and weekend availability for in-person events and campaign activities. Candidates must have access to a reliable, personal vehicle. Candidates also must have a laptop and cell phone.

Salary is dependent on experience and in the range of $5,500 – $6,500.
