JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities Include:

Content Creation

• Work directly with the Digital Content Director on storytelling across social media platforms

• Edit video content

• Produce high-quality graphics and images

• Draft social media copy

• Capture video and still photos at campaign events

• Maintain and organize digital content and asset libraries

• Schedule social media content to post on platforms via Sprout

General Campaign Support

• Staff campaign events across the 14th district

• Work with the Digital Content Director and the Senior Advisor to identify individuals, organizations, and projects in the district to highlight on social media

• Lead outreach to campaign filming opportunities

Applicants must have:

• Proficiency in professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci, or similar)

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital storytelling

• Excellent writing and communication skills

• Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

• Reliable transportation

Applicants will be considered more competitive if they have:

• Previous speechwriting experience

• Previous campaign, political communications, or journalism experience

• An interest in Illinois politics, or an understanding of local/national issues

Compensation:

• Salary: $4,000 - $5,000 / month

• Healthcare benefits (includes dental/vision coverage)

• Mileage reimbursement

• Compensation will be competitive and based on prior experience.
