Position Description
A Democratic statewide campaign in Georgia is seeking an experienced, highly motivated ** Campaign Manager** to lead day-to-day operations for a competitive race for a downballot Constitutional office. The candidate is an exciting, progressive rising star with a track record of winning tough races.
As the senior staff lead, the Campaign Manager will be responsible for overseeing implementation of the campaign’s strategic plan across all departments, managing senior staff, and ensuring coordination with consultants, partners, and the candidate. The ideal candidate will bring strong management experience, sound political judgment, and a commitment to building and leading a professional, disciplined campaign operation.

This is a full-time, limited-duration position through Election Day.

Salary of $8,000 to $10,000 per month based on experience plus opportunity for a win bonus.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Atlanta area for the duration of the campaign.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Leadership & Management: Oversee daily campaign operations and manage senior staff across all departments, including field, communications, political, finance, digital, and operations. Ensure each department has clear goals, accountability systems, and the resources necessary to succeed.
- Strategic Planning: Work with the Candidate, consultants, and senior leadership team to develop and execute a comprehensive campaign plan encompassing fundraising, field, communications, digital engagement, and coalition building.
- Political & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for party leaders, allied organizations, and key stakeholders. Build strong relationships across the progressive ecosystem to maximize support and coordination.
- Fundraising Oversight: Partner with the Finance Director to implement and drive an aggressive fundraising program, ensuring the campaign meets ambitious goals through in call time, events, digital, and PAC outreach.
- Communications & Media: Coordinate closely with communications staff, pollsters and media consultants to ensure message discipline and effective earned and paid media strategies.
- Compliance & Operations: Ensure compliance with all campaign finance laws and reporting requirements. Work with the treasurer and operations staff to maintain accurate records, budgets, and systems.
- Candidate Management: Partner with the Candidate to effectively allocate time, prepare for events, and ensure they are fully supported to perform at the highest level.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing political campaigns or equivalent large-scale advocacy efforts. Prior statewide or Congressional experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and team management skills; proven ability to manage senior staff and diverse teams.
- Excellent strategic thinking, political judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to represent the campaign effectively with stakeholders, partners, and the media.
