ABOUT ADAM FOR CONGRESS
Adam Dunigan is a former Marine and ex-CIA Case Officer running in the Democratic Primary in Virginia's 8th Congressional District. Adam for Congress seeking a highly motivated, politically savvy, and innovative Social Media Manager to work on our communications team to support our digital content and paid advertising strategy. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes political environment and can translate campaign strategy into compelling social media execution in northern Virginia.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social Media Strategy & Content: Support the development of an organic strategy across all channels to; create, curate, and schedule daily content; monitor mentions and engage audiences; track metrics and adjust strategy.

Targeted Digital Advertising: Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns on Google and across all channels to; manage monthly budget for reach and conversions; build targeted audiences; conduct A/B tests; provide weekly ROI and budget updates.

General Campaign Support: Ensure messaging consistency with Communications Director; assist with rapid content design/video; stay current on platform updates and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS

1–2 cycles of professional social media, mobile first, and paid digital campaign management; political campaign experience (congressional or state-level) preferred.

Proficient with platform ad managers for targeting, budget, and performance analysis.

Familiarity with Northern Virginia communities and local issues preferred, along with having an understanding of national level political trends.

Ability to create engaging, politically savvy content under tight deadlines.

Strong grasp of political messaging, voter data (VAN/VoteBuilder a plus), and competitive primary dynamics.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient with basic graphic design (e.g., Adobe, Canva) and video editing software.

Flexibility for evening and weekend work required by campaign and rapid-response needs.
Compensation: $3,000/month with negotiable benefits.
Start date: February 20, 2026
Reporting structure: The Social Media Manager reports directly to the Communications Director.
