JOB DESCRIPTION

The campaign manager oversees all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the campaign, as well as working closely with the candidate to ensure short- and long-term goals for the campaign are being met or exceeded. This person must maintain a strong strategic vision for the direction of the campaign’s long-term goals. They direct the process of managing staff and volunteer leaders, as well as coordinating with consultants and vendors.

The campaign manager will oversee all people involved with the campaign, oversee campaign operations and manage the budget effectively and efficiently. The campaign manager will be required to make fundraising asks for the campaign.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing the candidate, all campaign staff, and volunteers

  • Collaborating on hiring staff with the candidate and consultant

  • Managing the campaign budget

  • Building out a schedule for the candidate and the campaign team

  • Directing and overseeing short-term and long-term progress of fundraising and voter contact goals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have own reliable transportation

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and diplomatically with people of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to keep multiple projects on track at the same time

  • Preference for candidates with knowledge of the district
