JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview

Field Organizers **** will be responsible for recruiting volunteers for door to door canvassing, phone banking, and relational organizing.

Working with the Deputy Campaign Manager (DCM) organizers will conduct outreach in their assigned areas to recruit and train volunteers and host canvasses. Volunteers will be recruited through attending community events, phone banking, and expanding existing volunteer infrastructure. Organizers will be given weekly goals that the DCM will work with them to exceed to ensure a growing program.

Organizers will also be responsible for hosting non-canvassing events, maintaining relationships with community leaders, and regularly conducting door to door canvassing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement all aspects of the voter contact program in assigned areas

  • Recruit volunteers to conduct direct voter outreach

  • Host canvass launches and non-canvass events

  • Meet and exceed weekly goals to expand direct voter contact

  • Conduct door to door canvassing and phone banking

  • Other

  • Attend community events as a representative of the candidate

  • Coordinate and forge relationships with local leaders and stakeholders

  • Attend and staff campaign events as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in campaigns/advocacy as a staff member, intern, or volunteer is a plus

  • Having existing connections in Massachusetts 6th District/The North Shore is a plus

  • The ability to maintain a schedule and stay organized during busy periods

  • Using strong interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with volunteers and stakeholders and work with diverse groups that you may not be a part of

  • A desire to elect progressives and leftists.

  • The ability to relocate and work long, often atypical campaign hours.

  • A car and a valid driver’s license
