Job Summary:
The Finance and Member Services Manager will work closely with all 64 Democratic Members of the House of Delegates to ensure that they have the resources, assistance, and guidance to achieve their fundraising goals. They will also be crucial to ensuring that the House Democratic Caucus achieves our fundraising goals for the cycle.
The scheduled start date for this position is ASAP, but this can be adjusted as necessary. This is an in-person position, based in Richmond, VA, reporting to the Finance Director and termed through December 31st, 2026 with an opportunity for extension through 2027.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Scheduling, managing, and staffing the Richmond lobby events program for all Democratic Delegates.

Working with Delegates and staff to set fundraising goals, draft and execute finance plans, and create an events schedule.

Creating, executing, and staffing local, statewide, and national events for the Caucus and Delegates.

Researching potential local, statewide, and national donors, and staffing / overseeing call time as needed.

Supporting Delegates and Caucus staff during session.

Other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the VHDC finance program, including: data entry, database management, prospecting, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum one cycle of experience in political fundraising and campaigns or events management, with a strong track record of success.

Demonstrated experience with principal management and scheduling/executing events.

Familiarity with NGP-VAN and Excel / Google Sheets. Familiarity with call time dialers is a plus.

Excitement to create and maintain strong relationships with leadership, members, candidates, and staff.

Detail-oriented with excellent time management, planning, and organization skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and a willingness to hold self and others accountable to goals.

Team player with a positive attitude who motivates others.

Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including frequent evening and weekend work, and ability to travel statewide.

Commitment to winning and retaining a Democratic majority in the Virginia House of Delegates.

Travel in-state and evening and weekend work will be required.

Must be willing to relocate to the Richmond, VA area.
Compensation:
Salary for this position is $5,000 - $6,500 / month, depending on qualifications and experience. All Caucus staff are provided with a full health care & benefits package, including vision and dental. The cost is fully covered by the employer. Employer-sponsored 401(k)s are also available to all employees.
