JOB DESCRIPTION

Nick Vivio for Congress is seeking a seasoned, strategic, and mission-driven** Campaign Manager** to lead a high-stakes race in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District, a DCCC red-to-blue target race. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a "team-first" mentality, ready to execute a campaign focused on addressing medical and everyday affordability as well as championing the** Clean Slate Project,** a project to create medical debt forgiveness in Missouri.

This role is responsible for translating the candidate’s vision into a winning operational reality, overseeing everything from high-level strategy and budget management to day-to-day staff coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and refine a comprehensive campaign plan, including voter contact, communications, and field strategy to win a competitive district.

  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for the candidate; manage their daily schedule, priorities, and provide coaching for public appearances and stump speech delivery.

  • Recruit, hire, and supervise a team of staff, interns, and specialized consultants (finance, digital, and mail), fostering a culture of inclusivity and professional excellence.

  • In partnership with the fundraising team, develop and manage the campaign budget and cash flow; ensure all departments are meeting progress-to-goal benchmarks.

  • Work with the communications team to ensure pithy, punchy delivery of campaign themes across all platforms, including social media and press relations.

  • Coordinate with legal and compliance counsel to ensure strict adherence to all FEC regulations and Missouri election laws.

Qualification Profile

  • At least 3 years of political campaign experience, with at least one cycle serving in a management or supervisory role.

  • Familiarity with the political landscape of Missouri or the Greater St. Louis area is preferred.

  • A demonstrated commitment to progressive/middle-class values, specifically regarding healthcare reform and economic justice.

  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools including NGP/VAN, Votebuilder, ActBlue, and Google Workspace.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to communicate empathetically with voters and staff alike.

  • Willingness to work the "non-traditional" hours inherent to a federal race, including frequent evenings and weekends.

Compensation

  • Competitive monthly salary $9-12,000/month commensurate with experience.

  • Health insurance stipend or coverage provided.
