JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive district-wide field plan for persuasion, turnout, and vote-by-mail.

  • Recruit and train, and manage Field Leads and key volunteer leaders.

  • Build and maintain a robust volunteer program, including recruitment, training, and retention.

  • Create and implement staff and volunteer training materials and daily/weekly goals.

  • Set ambitious voter contact benchmarks and coach staff and volunteers to achieve results.

  • Develop metrics and accountability systems to track field performance.

  • Manage and utilize VAN (VoteBuilder), including turf cutting, list creation, and data tracking.

  • Manage volunteers and volunteer systems using Solidarity Tech and Google Suite

  • Analyze voter data and targeting models to refine voter contact universes..

  • Collaborate closely with campaign leadership to integrate field strategy with communications, fundraising, and overall campaign goals.

  • Plan and execute Early Vote and Election Day GOTV operations.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Campaign Manager or Candidate.

Requirements

  • At least two cycles of political campaign or community organizing experience, with significant field responsibility.

  • Experience recruiting, training, and managing paid staff and/or volunteers.

  • Proficiency with Votebuilder (VAN).

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to Democratic values and electing Democratic candidates.

  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends.

Preferred but Not Required

  • Previous experience on city council or local New York races.

  • Familiarity with the district or strong community ties.

  • Experience organizing across diverse communities.

  • Early vote program experience.
