JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview

The Field Director will help design and lead the execution on the campaign’s field strategy. This will be done by leading voter contact operations including canvassing, phone banking, and volunteer engagement. This role is critical to building the voter outreach program needed to win a competitive special election.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive field plan to meet voter contact and turnout goals

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and interns

  • Oversee canvassing, phone banking, and relational organizing programs

  • Set and track weekly goals and metrics for voter outreach

  • Manage turf cutting, data entry, and VAN operations

  • Coordinate with campaign manager and candidate to align messaging and targeting

  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations and local leaders

  • Ensure strong Election Day and early voting GOTV operations

Qualifications

  • At least one cycle of campaign field experience preffered

  • Strong leadership and volunteer management skills

  • Kowledge with VAN/Votebuilder preferred & experience in data-driven organizing

  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Commitment to progressive values and grassroots organizing

  • Experience in New York City politics & familiarity with District 3 neighborhoods and community groups preffered
