The Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to amplify the power of immigrant communities to impact the root causes of inequality, defending and protecting basic human rights, including the right to live without fear.
FLIC is a statewide alliance of 85 diverse organizations and a growing number of individual members, including farmworkers, students, service providers, grassroots organizations, and legal advocates, who come together for the fair treatment of all people, including immigrants. We accomplish our mission through the coordination of immigrant organizations and community education, organizing, and advocacy.
Position Summary
The Florida Immigrant Coalition (FLIC) is looking for an analytical professional who thrives on the chance to decipher data. The Data Manager is responsible for developing and applying methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize both qualitative and quantitative metrics, safeguarding confidential information and ensuring the security of organizational data.
The ideal candidate has a strong aptitude for technology and is able to develop user-friendly systems and processes for data collection and management, ensuring that organizational data is gathered efficiently and safely by all stakeholders.
A passion for social justice is required, and the Data Manager must be able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities
Data collection and management

Develop and implement procedures and workflows for effective data collection
-
Advise teams on strategic data practices to ensure appropriate data collection, tracking, and monitoring across all organizational programs

Guarantee adherence to legal and 501c3 and 501c4 compliance

Assess systems’ performance and make recommendations for software, hardware, and data storage improvements

Manage all incoming and outgoing data files, executing periodic quality control checks

Troubleshooting data-related problems, including but not limited to software maintenance.
Data analysis and reporting

Aggregate, clean, and organize quantitative and qualitative data

Advise stakeholders on segmentation strategies for targeted campaigns

Analyze collected data, evaluating key metrics and trends, and socializing findings

Inform strategic thinking through accurate and insightful monthly, quarterly,and annual reports.
Stakeholder training and support

Train staff, fellows, and volunteers to ensure the adequate use of data collection systems

Support stakeholders with data-related questions

Rigourously control data sharing and access by maintaining an accurate roster of stakeholders and granting or revoking access to systems in a timely fashion
Requirements & Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree
-
A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in data management and analysis.

Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions and to identify patterns according to a specific rule or set of rules

Ability to translate complex problems clearly and in non-technical terms
-
Maintain documentation of compliance activities
-
Data problem-sensitivity, or ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
-
2+ years of experience with EveryAction and/or VA, with a clear understanding of voter files
-
Familiarity with GoogleSuite, Airtable, ThruTalk, ThruText, Phone2Action, Impactive, Hub Dialer, and Mobilize preferred.
Salary
$60,000 to $80,000 (Salary commensurate with experience)
