** Position Description:** The Social Media & Digital team member will support the campaign’s digital communications strategy by creating compelling content, managing social platforms, tracking engagement metrics, and helping amplify the candidate’s message. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in political communications, digital strategy, and grassroots organizing. The average amount of time expected for work on this is not expected to be more than 20 hours a week maximum.
Key Responsibilities:
· Draft and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, X, and other platforms
· Assist with short-form video production and editing (Reels, TikTok-style clips)
· Design simple graphics using Canva or similar tools
· Monitor engagement and track digital performance metrics
· Support rapid-response messaging and issue-based content
· Help grow email list and following on socials
** Qualifications:**
· Strong writing skills and understanding of political messaging
· Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
· Basic graphic design and/or video editing experience preferred
· Detail-oriented, responsive, and able to work in a fast-paced campaign environment
· Passion for public service and Maryland politics
Project management, marketing, graphic web design, political communications, or previous campaign experience is a plus! ****
The role can be hybrid, or remote, depending on the location of the job seeker. If remote, a reliable internet connection is required. This is a part time role and would be ideal for someone who is a student, or who is interested in learning more about the political campaign process.
