JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities Include:

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with media and members of the press across the state
-
Serve as the point of contact for all incoming press requests to the Campaign
-
Draft communications products, including: press releases, op-eds, talking points, public statements, media advisories, speeches, and internal communications and Campaign newsletters
-
Coordinate with the Campaign Manager to ** create and implement social media strategy, including managing staff and volunteer teams to help with creation of content across social platforms, providing guidance on style, tone, and content direction, and overseeing the execution of all social strategy**

Provide Media training to the candidate, surrogates, and staff for interviews and press appearances;

Assist on other communications projects as needed

Flexibility to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, with some travel as needed
Applicants must have:
-
Several years of experience in communications and/or political campaigns

Experience working with members of the press in previous roles
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience creating and executing communications strategies via digital and social media. Graphic design abilities are a plus;
