JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
The Re-Elect David Trone for Maryland Campaign is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized Operations Assistant to support the campaign’s daily and long term operational responsibilities, ensure the smooth execution of campaign events, and assist with ordering and tracking all campaign materials. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, exercises strong judgment, and is comfortable working long and irregular hours.
Compensation:$4,500 to $5,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
Benefits:
The campaign offers a competitive compensation package including the salary range listed above,
potential travel and mileage reimbursement, and paid sick leave in accordance with Maryland law.
Additional information regarding pay schedule and applicable benefits will be provided at the time of
hire.
Responsibilities:

Assist with creating the candidate’s daily schedule, including arrivals, departures, and transitions between events.

Serve as a primary on-site liaison between the candidate, campaign staff, event hosts, and stakeholders.

Ensure all briefing materials, schedules, and logistical needs are prepared and available in advance of events.

Coordinate closely with advance, communications, field, and scheduling staff to ensure events run smoothly and on time.

Maintain situational awareness at all events, proactively identifying and resolving issues as they arise.

Assist with crowd flow, press coordination, and stakeholder interactions as needed.

Help manage campaign merchandise, inventory and distribution.

Travel extensively within Western Maryland and work evenings and weekends as required by the campaign schedule.

Qualifications:

Access to reliable transportation.

Access to a laptop and cell phone.

Previous experience in political campaigns, advance work, scheduling, or inventory management is highly desirable.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with elected officials, donors, community leaders, press, and volunteers.

Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality at all times.

Ability to remain calm and adaptable in high-pressure, rapidly changing environments.
