The Brennan for Wisconsin campaign is hiring a Finance Director to build and lead our fundraising operation. Joel Brennan is a proven executive leader and former top cabinet official to Governor Tony Evers with a track record of getting things done. He's building a winning campaign for governor to protect Wisconsin values, stand up to Trump's attacks on working families and our freedoms, and deliver real results for families.
This role offers the opportunity to scale a finance program that has already demonstrated early momentum, with significant responsibility and growth potential on a competitive gubernatorial campaign.
Primary Responsibilities

Build and manage all aspects of the campaign's fundraising program in coordination with the Campaign Manager and finance consultant

Manage the candidate's call time program, including scheduling, staffing, research, and preparation

Conduct donor research and prospecting to identify and cultivate new funding sources

Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet ambitious goals

Plan and execute major donor events and house parties

Cultivate relationships with donors and prospects

Maintain campaign fundraising database (NGP VAN/ActBlue) and ensure compliance

Prepare regular fundraising reports and analysis for campaign leadership

Staff the candidate at fundraising events and donor meetings

Other duties as assigned based on the needs of the campaign
Qualifications
Required:
-
1-3+ years of professional political fundraising experience (stronger candidates will have 3+ years; candidates with 1-2 years of solid experience will be considered)

Experience with call time programs and candidate support

Strong donor research and prospecting skills

Proficiency with NGP VAN, ActBlue, and Google Suite

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to build genuine relationships with donors

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to work irregular hours around fundraising deadlines and events

Valid driver's license, reliable access to a personal vehicle, internet, and a cellphone
Preferred:

Experience managing fundraising operations or teams

Knowledge of Wisconsin's political and donor landscape

Existing relationships with Wisconsin donors

Event planning and execution experience
