The Bera for Congress campaign seeks a highly motivated individual to serve as Field Organizer to lead local voter engagement and grassroots mobilization across California’s newly re-drawn Third Congressional District, with a focus on Nevada, Placer, and El Dorado counties. The Field Organizer will mobilize supporters, build strong community relationships, and help drive the campaign’s voter outreach and organizing efforts. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about political change, enjoys direct community engagement, and thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Job Description:
● Develop and implement strategic plans to recruit, train, and manage volunteers within assigned regions
● Organize and coordinate campaign events, including phone banks, canvassing operations, community events, house parties, and more
● Track and analyze voter outreach efforts using campaign databases and tools.
● Attend community events and meetings with and on behalf of the candidate. This role will represent Congressman Bera across a diverse range of community settings.
● Build up a strong volunteer base and understanding of the area for Get Out the Vote (GOTV) in November 2026
● Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and local activists to expand the campaign’s reach and impact
● Communicate regularly with campaign leadership and team members to ensure alignment and adapt strategies as needed
● All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in campaign organizing, volunteer management, or community outreach is highly desirable.
● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse range of individuals.
● Detail-oriented, highly-organized, and level-headed in high-stress environments.
● Excellent time management and communication skills.
● Flexibility to travel last minute for events and availability during weekends and evenings.
● Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable car. Travel across CA-03 is required.
● Access to a laptop and cell phone.
● Ability to keep up with a 24 hour news cycle.
● Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
● Commitment to the values and goals of the Bera for Congress campaign.
● Ties to Nevada/El Dorado/Placer County region of CD-3 is strongly preferred.
