JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description: The New York State Democratic Committee seeks a Coordinated Campaign Organizing Director to join our team in 2026. The Organizing Director will be responsible for crafting a strong voter contact program utilizing both volunteer and paid field tactics to turn out voters for the 2026 elections, as well as managing all organizing staff. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, creative thinkers who are dedicated to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.

The Organizing Director will:

● Hire and manage all Organizing Department staff with a strong emphasis on professional

development throughout the cycle

● Develop and implement the coordinated campaign’s organizing program, including volunteer-led and paid field tactics to execute voter contact across the state

● Maintain relationships with local political leaders, progressive coalitions, and campaign

stakeholders to cultivate buy-in to the campaign.

● Create and implement systems and structures to lead staff to successfully meet daily and weekly goals, as well as maintain data integrity

● Collaborate with other departments to meet staff resource needs and accomplish goals

Ideal Experience and Characteristics:

● 3+ cycles of organizing experience, with at least two cycles as a manager on a large operation

preferred

● Demonstrated cultural competence and the skills needed to work meaningfully with those who

are culturally different from the self; a commitment to fostering a positive working environment

grounded in the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion

● Highly organized and independent work style; a strong ability to multitask and communicate

● Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to build relationships, listen, collaborate, and

lead with respect and professionalism

Pay Range: $8,000 - 10,000/month + benefits. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
