New Hampshire Youth Movement is looking for a ** Field Organizer** to support our youth organizing and Get-out-the-Vote efforts. This full time role is an opportunity to level up your organizing skills, and be a critical leader in the movement to elect progressive champions in November. We are building a New Hampshire that works for everyone, and we need to build youth power to elect people who will stand up for issues like Affordable Housing, LGBTQ+ Rights, Climate Justice, Racial Justice, Reproductive Rights, Voting Rights and Public Education.

New Hampshire Youth Movement is a movement of young people transforming our political system so it serves, and is led by, the people it’s left behind. We are an entirely youth-led, decentralized, intersectional, grassroots organization building and leveraging youth power in and outside of electoral organizing across NH.
Role Overview
The Field Organizer will lead and execute fieldwork throughout a region of the state, traveling to strategic areas to pledge young people to vote. The main tactics include: tabling on college campuses and community events, planning events, knocking doors, managing volunteers, and phone banking. You’ll focus on supporting existing organizing efforts on campuses, and recruiting new student leaders and young people from the broader community. As the program grows, you’ll support a small team of core volunteers in your region, directing their fieldwork, helping out on the ground, holding them accountable to goals, and mentoring them through challenges.
What you’ll do

Work with a team to pledge thousands of people to vote to elect leaders who share our values

Field organizing, including tabling, door knocking, phone banking, relational organizing

Talk about issues like housing, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive rights, the climate crisis, the economy, and voting rights

Managing volunteers & student leaders

Log and maintain voter data, including pledge to vote cards, event attendees, volunteers etc. through EveryAction database

Support rides to the polls programs and voter registration drives efforts

Attend a series of onboarding trainings, and additional trainings as they come up, to learn skills

Uphold the NHYM principles in your work

Maintain organization compliance by submitting accurate timesheets, expense reports, and mileage reimbursements, adhering strictly to organizational deadlines.

Qualifications
We are looking for people who are passionate about the issues, ready to get involved, and eager to learn. We’re used to training up powerful young leaders; we’ll train and support you as you grow.
The ideal candidate is/has:

Excited to make New Hampshire a better place and build the political power of young people

Ready to go hard pledging young people to vote in their region to elect local candidates

Some past experience in traditional voter outreach tactics such as phone banking, canvassing, and texting either as a staff member or volunteer

Some past experience in organizing in general, can include things like issue, legislative, or electoral campaigns, planning direct actions or protests, or mutual aid, either as a staff member or volunteer leader

Friendly and outgoing; ready to meet new people, build relationships, and bring them into the work

Willing to have lots and lots of conversations with new people daily

Understanding of what is at stake for them in this election, and interested to learn what is at stake for others
Location
This role will float around the state supporting campuses where capacity is needed. Being located in central NH would cut down on driving time, but anyone anywhere in the state is encouraged to apply. You’ll be required to travel regularly throughout the state—travel will take place on staff time and mileage is reimbursed.
Compensation
This is a full-time, salaried position at $50,000 - $57,000/year and eligible for benefits. Salary within the range will be determined based on experience. The ideal candidate lives in, or is willing to relocate to, New Hampshire. This role works generally, Tuesday through Saturday and some evenings subject to variation based on start date. There are two potential start dates for this role, June 3rd, 2026 or August 18, 2026. This position ends on November 6, 2026 with an opportunity for extension or transition to a new role based on fit and funding.
