JOB DESCRIPTION

Who We Are

The Arizona Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (ADLCC) is the only organization in Arizona whose sole purpose is to elect Democrats to the State House and Senate.

Our organization was formed in 2015 when Democratic leaders from the Arizona House and Senate identified the need for an organization whose purpose was to identify, support and elect Democratic candidates statewide. In every year since our founding, we have picked up seats and held the line against Republican incumbents who continue to radicalize. In 2024, ADLCC held the line in both the State House and State Senate, set against a tough and biased redistricting year. We have broken the super majority in our state and, with a Democratic Governor running to re-election heading into the 2026 cycle, are more poised than ever to put a Democratic trifecta in our state government.

Job Title: Finance Manager

Reports To: District Manager

This is an election cycle position with a tentative end date of November 15, 2026.

Overview

In addition to access to and support from senior ADLCC staff, the caucus program provides direct staffing services to candidates in targeted districts where they have the highest likelihood of flipping a seat or the greatest need to protect an incumbent. The Finance Managers will help create and execute the finance plans for 1-3 candidates running for the legislature in one legislative district. The Finance Manager is the point person for all aspects of fundraising for the candidates including managing call time and pledge follow up, planning fundraisers, and managing digital fundraising. You will work directly on the ground, every single day, with candidates in our targeted districts.

  • Ensure that the fundraising work of the campaign is grounded in the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Create and Maintain Fundraising Systems and Structures

  • Manage the call time calendar and daily finance call time for the team of candidates including maintaining the donor database, identifying strategic targets for call time, preparing lists and call sheets, tracking call results, completing donor follow-up via email and phone, and ensuring that all aspects of call time are completed.

  • Build and maintain systems for call time, donor follow-up, and re-solicitation by the candidates.

  • Conduct research on current and potential contributors and prospect for new donors.

Fundraising Events

  • Help organize logistics for fundraising events, including researching venues, coordinating with hosts on needs, set-up and take-down, and staffing.

Facilitating the Flow of Information in All Directions

  • Develop and nurture relationships with high dollar and grassroots donors, lobbyists, and community leaders.

  • In coordination with the District Manager, develop relationships with and ensure timely reporting to ADLCC HQ, candidates, partners, and consultants.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not fit all of the items listed below.

You will be a good fit for this role if you:

  • Can maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.

  • Have the ability to take and implement feedback.
