Position Summary:
The Member Engagement team is responsible for supporting LEE member engagement in partnership with the LEE Member teams. This includes supporting new member registration efforts and providing a high-quality experience in the member’s first 90 days after registering. Additionally, this team supports the sustained engagement of our members which includes supporting in-person, virtual, and digital experiences that are best matched to the members interests.
The Director, Member Engagement Platform (Temporary) will support the team by facilitating and managing virtual programming that inspires engagement with LEE members, specifically by translating in-person programming content into high-impact, platform-native experiences. This role will support the "content-to-platform" pipeline, ensuring materials are optimized for discoverability and mapping intuitive digital journeys that drive member impact. The Director will partner closely across the Member Engagement and Platform teams, exemplifying collaboration that bridges engagement products, leadership development content, and technology.
The ideal candidate is a skilled facilitator with the technical ability to build online user journeys and platform-based learning experiences. This individual will excel at translating high-touch programming into digital engagement and virtual facilitation that drive member impact. Beyond execution, the candidate possesses a scalable mindset, identifying efficient, repeatable engagement strategies that can be multiplied across the organization.
This role reports to the Senior Director, Member Engagement and is a full-time, temporary position for up to 40 hours per week through the end of May 2027. All candidates must be remote flexible.

**Travel Requirements: **10-15% - including national travel for up to 6-8 trips annually
Responsibilities:
Member Engagement (40%)

Implement digital engagement tactics in alignment with the Member Engagement team’s vision and strategy via product-driven in-person and virtual events, phone and email outreach

Collaborate across teams to support onboarding and exploration strategies on the platform (i.e., portal logins, playlist engagement, aligned events, and programs)

Grow leadership pipelines to support members moving through pathway leadership roles and opportunities (i.e., Thrive pipeline to run for office, Fellowship pipelines, and Organizing Leadership Network)

Make connections for members to the best-fit first and third party resources, supports, and opportunities, including electoral and policy coaching
Digital Content & Journey Mapping (20%)

Map member engagement journeys to develop more intuitive navigation, logical content sequencing, and a premium user experience

Support the "content-to-platform" pipeline by tagging, organizing, and optimizing materials for maximum discoverability and engagement

Partner with the Platform Team to position, curate, and build engagement resources into platform-driven offerings
Engagement Planning and Tools (20%)
-
Utilize data and planning systems such as Salesforce, Tableau, Asana, and Google Sheets to understand member engagement data, look for trends, and places for replication of digital strategy

Partner with the Member Marketing team to design automated engagement triggers (emails, notifications, in-app nudges) that drive platform retention

Partner with Member Marketing to ensure brand consistency is maintained across all digital touchpoints within the member portal
Progress Monitoring and Adjustment (10%)

Maintain a pulse on member engagement by monitoring and interpreting digital engagement data

Leverage data and insights to inform strategies and tactics that increase and sustain member engagement and support members’ progress in leadership and skill-building

Provide feedback on LEE content to support high-touch digital engagement opportunities for members
Special Projects (10%)

Lead or contribute to team-level, organization-wide, or cross-team special projects as assigned by manager or designee

Provide short-term coverage of teams and/or projects during a leave, vacancy, or PTO
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate work experience (If you do not hold a Bachelor’s degree an additional 4 years of relevant experience is required. If you hold an Associate’s degree an additional 2 years of relevant experience is required.)

5+ years relevant professional experience in civic leadership that could include paid or volunteer work in politics/campaigns, policy, advocacy, and/or community organizing

Demonstrated experience in digital engagement
-
Demonstrated experience in content scoping and mapping and virtual facilitation for adult learning

Demonstrated ability to manage the implementation of plans in fast-moving, dynamic environments
-
Demonstrated track record of strong collaboration and effective communication across teams/departments
-
Proven ability to build and leverage relationships with diverse audiences and partners
-
Ability to identify and interpret digital engagement metrics and analyze trends that inform strategy
-
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a geographically dispersed team
-
Strong, demonstrated commitment to LEE’s mission, core values, and theory of change
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in facilitating learning opportunities for adults

Demonstrated experience building online user journeys and/or platform-based learning modules

Demonstrated experience effectively working and coaching across lines of difference
Physical Requirements & Work Demands:

The person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to liaise with staff or access office equipment.

The person in this position will need to have the ability to travel to in-person meetings in various U.S. cities.

Occasional evening and/or weekend work is required.

Pay and Benefits
The position level for this role is Director 1 and the corresponding hourly pay range for this position is $39.86-$60.05. Pay is competitive and based upon relevant experience and cost of labor for your location.
