JOB DESCRIPTION

RAP’s U.S. team is growing and investing in strategic communications for impact. You will join RAP’s global communications team, supporting U.S.-focused communications efforts. Reporting to the U.S. Strategic Communications Lead, you will help execute internal and external communications tactics that accelerate the clean energy transition.

This role is ideal for someone who is eager to build skills in media relations, policy communications, and strategic narrative development in the energy space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the U.S. Strategic Communications Lead in implementing communications tactics aligned with RAP’s U.S. impact goals.

  • Assist in drafting and editing communications materials including press releases, talking points, newsletters, social media, blogs, and other communications assets.

  • Monitor and analyze media and narrative landscapes relating to energy issues to prepare briefings and identify opportunities.

  • Provide logistical and project management support for RAP publications, including template formatting and website publication.

  • Support internal communications coordination across teams.

  • Provide logistical and communications support for webinars, in-person events, and other outreach activities.

  • Develop skills in support of relationship-building with journalists, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Track and report on communications metrics to help evaluate impact and inform future outreach.

  • Support U.S. Strategic Communications Lead to build RAP’s U.S. brand.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public policy, political science or closely related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language. Additional language skills are an asset.

SALARY

$60,000 – $65,000
