About the Candidate:
Rep. Marcy Kaptur represents Ohio’s 9th Congressional District. The daughter of a Polish-American working class family in Toledo, Marcy’s life and service mirror her district, where she has spent her career delivering for the people of Northwest Ohio. Since 2020, Marcy has consistently been one of very few Democrats winning and holding Trump seats. In 2024, she was one of just 13 Democrats to win a seat Trump also won. In October 2025, The Ohio Redistricting Commission adopted a new congressional map, making OH-09 more favorable to Republicans. However, Marcy’s history of overperformance in this R+5 PVI district gives her every chance of beating the odds once again.
