JOB DESCRIPTION

The Michigan Senate Democratic Fund (MSDF) is a full-time political organization dedicated to protecting the Democratic majority in the Michigan Senate. To help ensure this success, MSDF is seeking a highly motivated and organized Deputy Political Director. The Deputy Political Director will be responsible for interfacing with a selection of districts across Michigan as well as assisting with caucus-wide political operations. The Deputy Political Director will report to the Political Director.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with a select portfolio of campaigns and campaign managers to develop campaign plans and provide feedback on their budget, finance and field plans.

• Collect weekly field and fundraising reports from campaigns.

• Serve as the main point of contact for assigned state Senate campaigns, including highly competitive swing districts. .

• Assist with caucus-wide political operations

Job Requirements

• Campaign management experience (at least one cycle of serving as a manager)

• Familiarity with Votebuilder/NGP

• Experience with Google Suite

• Commitment to protecting and expanding a Democratic majority in the Michigan Senate

• High attention to detail

• Time management skills and problem solving skills

• A track record of developing and maintaining strong working relationships

Compensation

Salary is commensurate with experience and competitive. Compensation includes health, dental, and vision insurance.
