JOB DESCRIPTION
The Finance Director will be a key member of the campaign’s senior staff, responsible for executing a high-performing fundraising program that supports the campaign’s path to victory. This role will work closely with the candidate and senior staff to build strong donor relationships, drive revenue, and ensure the campaign meets its fundraising goals.
Responsibilities

Design and execute a comprehensive $3 million fundraising program, including call time, donor research, event planning and staffing, digital fundraising, and donor relationship management.

Prepare and staff candidate call time, including building call lists, conducting donor research, and ensuring consistent follow-up.

Manage donor communication and relationship tracking, ensuring all outreach is timely, organized, and strategic.

Plan and execute fundraising events, including invitations, logistics, and on-site staffing.

Set ambitious fundraising goals, hold the candidate accountable to progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the campaign’s database.

Support pledge follow-up and re-solicitation efforts to maximize donor engagement and revenue.

Build and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and partners across the state and nationally.

Track and manage cash flow throughout the campaign, working with the compliance team to ensure all contributions and expenditures are reported accurately and efficiently.

Contribute to the development of systems and processes that improve the campaign’s overall fundraising effectiveness.
Experience, Skills, and Characteristics

At least 2 cycles of campaign fundraising experience, raising a minimum of $1 million.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Detail-oriented and highly reliable with data tracking and follow-through.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build and maintain relationships with donors and campaign stakeholders.

Goal-oriented, persistent, and motivated to meet and exceed fundraising targets.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing campaign environment.

Experience with NGPVan, PingDex, ActBlue, Google Sheets, or other fundraising and data management tools required.

Willingness to work long hours and travel as needed to meet campaign goals.
Salary: Commiserate with experience, additional stipend for health insurance is provided for candidates joining the team as full-time staff, not consultants
