JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Pinpoint Campaigns, a boutique direct mail firm based in Washington, D.C., is seeking an Associate to join our team for the 2026 Election Cycle.

Pinpoint distinguishes itself as a top-flight mail firm by providing partner-level attention to each campaign and client we take on, ensuring they receive the expertise and strategic advice they deserve from launch day through Election Day and beyond. We are proud to work with progressive campaigns and causes across the country of all sizes to deliver breakthrough creative and precise targeting to ensure our clients’ message engages and moves its audience.

The Position

Pinpoint is looking for someone to join the team who thrives in fast-paced environments, is extremely well organized and detail-oriented to a fault, and is both hungry to learn and eager to elect Democrats up and down the ticket.

While the ideal candidate for this position meets the qualifications listed below, please do not feel discouraged from applying if you do not meet each and every single one. A bachelor’s degree is _not _required to apply for this position.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 cycles of experience working on a political campaign or at a political consulting firm, nonprofit, or advocacy organization

  • A strong desire to elect Democrats and elevate progressive candidates

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in a variety of platforms and media

  • A successful track record of managing numerous projects at once with moving timelines

  • Experience maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and other team members with responsiveness, courtesy, and professionalism

  • A willingness to take responsibility for mistakes, quickly identify solutions, and execute subsequent follow-up plans to correct them

  • Proficiency and/or willingness to become proficient in Google Suite, Adobe, Docusign, Dropbox, and other necessary software

  • An ability to work long and odd hours as needed, especially close to Primary Days and Election Day in November

  • A commitment to racial equality and social justice

  • A sense of humor, positive attitude, and ability to take setbacks in stride

Roles and Responsibilities

Associates at Pinpoint Campaigns are charged with performing a variety of duties geared towards executing our clients’ direct mail programs to the highest level. These duties include but are not limited to:

  • Proofing client mail pieces at multiple stages of the production process

  • Sourcing photos, including from stock websites

  • Assisting with the creative and writing phase

  • Communicating with designers throughout the design and edit phase

  • Communicating with printers throughout the printing and mailing phase

  • Collaborating with Pinpoint’s Principals on data and targeting decisions

  • Maintaining organizational integrity across the firm’s internal processes and systems

  • Gathering applicable billing and invoicing information and ensuring timely payment to all appropriate vendors

  • Ensuring all aspects of the design, edit, proofing, and printing processes do not fall behind

As with most jobs in the political campaign world, this position frequently requires “other duties as assigned.” To that end, there will be plenty of times where patience, grit, and outside-the-box thinking are needed to succeed.

This position is a hybrid role, based in Washington, D.C. at our Hilltop Public Solutions offices, and will transition more towards in-person as we get closer to Election Day.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is between $5,000-$5,500 per month, commensurate with experience. This position is entitled to an annual bonus as determined by firm leadership.

In addition to this salary, you will be eligible for benefits offered to all Pinpoint and Hilltop Public Solutions employees, including full health care, dental, and eye care benefits, and the option to participate in a 401k program with employer match (eligible after two months of employment). Furthermore, you will be eligible for 15 days of paid time off as needed subject to approval from firm leadership.

How to Apply

Please email your resume and a writing sample to [email protected] with “Associate Application 2026” in the subject line. This position will remain open until filled.
