JOB DESCRIPTION

Four Lions Media (FLM) is looking to hire a new Account Manager. This role is the primary point of contact for clients and the internal hub for getting work done across the team. The Account Manager’s job is to ensure we are consistently in service to the client by coordinating people, timelines, approvals, and budgets.

Responsibilities for this role will include

Client leadership

  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients.

  • Lead client calls and support prep work, including agendas, materials, note-taking, and action item follow-up.

  • Contribute to deliverable planning, project management, and internal coordination, supporting senior leadership as needed.

  • Draft internal briefs and client-ready updates in coordination with senior staff.

  • Maintain and strengthen client management norms: clear timelines, clear ownership, clean communication, and consistent follow-through.

  • Flag potential client issues and risks early, and contribute to internal solutions to keep work on track.

  • Identify opportunities to improve client-facing processes and materials based on experience and feedback from internal teams and clients.

Internal team leadership and delivery oversight

  • Oversee production and delivery of client deliverables and reports, including:

  • Assigning, onboarding, and coordinating internal staff, contractors, and vendors.

  • Providing feedback to content producers and external contractors as needed.

  • Seeking, tracking, and documenting client approvals.

  • Drafting content and memos as needed to support delivery and alignment.

  • Own daily, weekly, and monthly performance tracking for each client program, including maintaining projections and budget updates with input from verticals and leadership.

  • Develop monthly content calendars and goals for clients with support from the leadership team.

  • Track budgets, submit invoice requests, and approve bills, ensuring spend stays aligned with scope and plan.

  • Document learnings, best practices, and client documentation across accounts so work improves over time.

  • Manage internal tools and processes for your accounts, ensuring they are up to date, accurate, and used correctly.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working asynchronously.

  • Other responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications for this role are:

  • 3+ years relevant experience in account management, client services, project management, or campaign/agency operations (or equivalent experience).

  • Strong client communication skills: clear, confident, responsive, and able to manage expectations.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex workflows across internal teams and external contractors, with consistent follow-through.

  • Excellent project management skills: scoping, timelines, prioritization, risk management, and documentation.

  • Comfort working with budgets, invoices, and basic financial tracking, plus maintaining projections and updates.

  • Strong writing skills for briefs, updates, memos, and internal documentation.

  • Attention to detail, especially around approvals, versioning, and deadlines.

  • Ability to stay calm and effective in high-volume or time-sensitive cycles.

  • Understanding of progressive politics and public issues, and comfort operating in campaign-style environments.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working asynchronously.

Nice to have:

  • Experience using a variety of advocacy platforms and tools

  • Up to date with digital organizing best practices, metrics/reporting, creative production workflows, and paid media concepts

  • Prior work with unions/advocacy/candidates.
