JOB DESCRIPTION

Brooke Pinto for Congress is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented Field Organizer to help build and execute a strong grassroots field program across Washington, DC. This role will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, executing canvassing and phone banking operations, and helping the campaign meet ambitious voter contact and organizing goals.

The ideal candidate is organized, people-focused, comfortable working long and irregular hours, and excited to play a key role in a fast-paced, team-oriented campaign. Familiarity with Washington, DC neighborhoods, communities, and political landscape is strongly preferred. Strong ties to DC or the broader DMV area are a plus.

Key** Responsibilities**

  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to participate in canvassing, phone banking, text banking, and other voter contact activities

  • Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, supporters, and community stakeholders across assigned turf or wards

  • Lead canvasses, phone banks, and other field events, including setup, training, troubleshooting, and follow-up

  • Meet daily and weekly goals for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and event attendance

  • Enter, review, and maintain accurate data in VoteBuilder/VAN and other campaign systems

  • Help create and implement neighborhood-based organizing plans to expand the campaign’s reach

  • Support visibility efforts, literature drops, petitioning, and GOTV operations as needed

  • Work closely with the Field Director and campaign leadership to track progress, identify challenges, and improve performance

  • Ensure quality control and accountability across all assigned field activities

  • Represent the campaign professionally in the community and at campaign events

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to recruit, motivate, and manage volunteers from diverse backgrounds

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently, solve problems quickly, and adapt in a fast-moving environment

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed

  • Commitment to electing Brooke Pinto and enthusiasm for grassroots organizing

  • Familiarity with Washington, DC, including its neighborhoods, communities, and local political environment, strongly preferred

  • Strong ties to the DC/DMV area preferred

  • Must have access to a reliable car and be comfortable traveling throughout Washington, DC for campaign activity

  • Familiarity with VoteBuilder/VAN or other voter file tools is preferred

  • Previous campaign, organizing, advocacy, or community outreach experience is preferred but not required
