JOB DESCRIPTION

The New York State Democratic Committee seeks Coordinated Campaign Regional Organizing Directors to join our team in 2026. Regional Organizing Directors will manage a team of field organizers in their assigned region to execute an aggressive volunteer program and voter contact priorities to turn out voters for the 2026 elections. Ideal candidates are highly motivated, creative thinkers who are dedicated to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.

The Regional Organizing Director will:

  • Hire, train, and hold accountable organizers across your region to weekly voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals.

  • Develop and execute a regional organizing plan that is in line with the statewide priorities and objectives of the organizing program.

  • Build and implement systems and structures to lead a region to hit daily, weekly metric goals.

  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate reporting and data management.

  • Keep your team focused and motivated in a high-stress, rigorous work schedule and environment.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Ideal Experience and Characteristics:

  • 1-2 cycles of campaign organizing experience.

  • Willingness to work in the field office and in the community with your regional team.

  • Ability to create a motivating and inclusive culture in the region.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and clearly communicate with organizers, activists and local leaders.

  • Must have access to a cell phone, vehicle and ability to relocate if necessary.
