JOB DESCRIPTION

The Congressional campaign for NY-07 is seeking a highly-motivated and values-aligned Deputy Campaign Manager to join the team. As a key contributor, the Deputy Campaign Manager is responsible for supporting in the day-to-day functions of the campaign and successful implementation of the campaign plan. Experience with NYC politics, an understanding of issues affecting New Yorkers and familiarity with Brooklyn and Queens is a plus. The position is to start ASAP and run through at least the primary in late June, 2026 with the potential for continuation through the general election in November, 2026.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Planning: Execute the core campaign strategy and messaging, set goals, and support a comprehensive plan covering all aspects.

  • Operations & Management: Hire/manage staff and volunteers, oversee daily activities, manage the budget, and ensure smooth campaign flow.

  • Candidate Support: Keep the candidate on schedule, organized, and prepared, acting as their primary liaison and support system.

  • Communications: Oversee messaging, advertising, media relations, and digital content (social media, website).

  • Voter Engagement: Plan and execute voter outreach, rallies, phone banking, canvassing, and petition / voting efforts.

Qualifications & Skills

  • One to two cycles of experience in fundraising and campaigns, with a track record of success.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skill.

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

  • Ability to work effectively and tactfully with the public.
