JOB DESCRIPTION
Copper State Victory–the 2026 Coordinated Campaign to elect Arizona Democrats–is seeking a Deputy Voter Protection Director for Election Administration to support management of the statewide voter access and protection program. Arizona is a pivotal battleground state in 2026, from protecting our last line of defense in Governor Katie Hobbs, Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, and Attorney General Kris Mayes to flipping the state Legislature and key red-to-blue congressional seats. Joining the CSV team means being a part of the premier offensive line for Arizona Democrats up and down the ballot.
Description
The Deputy Voter Protection Director for Election Administration will work closely with the Voter Protection Director to monitor and expand access for voters across Arizona. They will be responsible for building and sustaining political and strategic relationships with the appropriate county election officials, and will be a resource for legal and strategic action against efforts aimed at disenfranchising voters. The ideal candidate is someone with legal or political experience, as well as strong issue spotting, problem solving, and communication skills.

Salary: $7,500/month

Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle and will require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.

Responsibilities:

Work alongside the Voter Protection Director to develop statewide voter protection programming

Manage Coordinated voter protection staff in program execution

Develop and maintain an understanding of Arizona voting laws and related issues

Build positive, productive relationships with local party leadership and local election officials

Monitor election administration at the county level, and identify, monitor, and report potential issues

Identify opportunities to advocate to county election officials for improved election processes and ballot access

Review and quality control external facing campaign materials
Skills & Qualifications:

One or more previous cycles of voter protection experience on a campaign or advocacy organization is preferred

Legal experience and/or political organizing experience is preferred, J.D. a plus

Strong cross-team communication and organizational skills in order to support communication with CSV staff, county election officials, and partner organizations

Proven time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in order to meet deadlines

Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and work with other team members, as well as a desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite programs

Spanish or other language fluency a plus
