Copper State Victory-- the 2026 Coordinated Campaign to elect Arizona Democrats-- is seeking a Deputy Organizing Director for Distributed Organizing as part of a comprehensive voter contact program that includes in-person and online activities. Arizona is a pivotal battleground state in 2026, from protecting our last line of defense in Governor Katie Hobbs, Secretary of State Adrian Fontes, and Attorney General Kris Mayes to flipping the state Legislature and key red-to-blue congressional seats. Joining the CSV team means being a part of the premier offensive line for Arizona Democrats up and down the ballot.
Description
The Distributed Deputy Organizing Director will oversee the Spanish language and college campus regions, as well as manage the out of state and virtual community space that empowers a network of volunteers, staff, and partners to execute campaign goals. The ideal candidate has participated in a variety of voter contact programs, and can strategically apply that experience to managing programs online, at universities across Arizona, and in bilingual communities.

Salary: $7,500/month

Hours: This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle and will require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.

Responsibilities will include:

Hire and manage a Distributed Associate and Regional Organizing Directors for Spanish and Campus regions

Build and sustain political and strategic relationships with stakeholders, county and district party leadership, progressive organizations, and community organizations

Support and help lead the Organizing Department hiring process, including managing Regional Organizing Directors to recruit and hire Organizers in their regions

Support the development and execution of voter education, mobilization, and Get Out The Vote (GOTV) initiatives specifically targeting college campuses and Spanish-speaking communities

Design and implement organizing strategy for three distinct programs (Spanish language, campus, and distributed), including metrics that measure a variety of tactics and voter contact methods over the course of the campaign

Collaborate on designing a comprehensive volunteer training program curriculum

Work collaboratively with all other departments to meet staff resource needs and accomplish goals
Skills & Qualifications:

2+ cycles of organizing experience, with at least one cycle as a manager on a statewide or coordinated campaign preferred

Skilled project manager with experience managing staff to meet organizational metrics and goals

Experience building teams from scratch, including creating an inclusive and positive working culture

Ability to work strategically, collaboratively, and creatively with excellent written and oral communication

Demonstrated ability to use data to inform strategy development, monitor progress to goal, and report on and analyze outcomes

Fluency with NGP VAN, ScaleToWin or other texting/calling platforms, and relational organizing apps

Strong communication skills and ability to communicate priorities, needs, and expectations to organizers and managers, both orally and in writing

Native or near-native fluency in Spanish preferred, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
