Description & Details

The April McClain Delaney for Congress campaign is seeking a full-time Organizer for the 2026 primary and general election. An Organizer is responsible for volunteer engagement, voter contact, and visibility activities necessary for AMD for Congress to win this highly competitive seat. An Organizer will lead a team of Deputy Organizers, be responsible for engaging voters and volunteers, and will report directly to the Organizing Director.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contact volunteers and voters;

  • Lead phone banks, textbanks, canvassing, and other organizing activities;

  • Build relationships with community partners;

  • Leverage digital voter contact and tools;

  • Work collaboratively to ensure goals are being met;

  • Manage and recruit Deputy Organizers and Super Volunteers.

Our ideal candidate for the position has the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills;

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a flexible,

  • unflappable demeanor and strong listening skills;

  • Required to be based in the Maryland/DC area, willing to travel to an office and be in-person regularly, and flexible to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends;

  • Understanding of American politics and important current events;

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation;

  • Campaign or political experience is a plus;

  • Understanding of Votebuilder and Mobilize, as well as P2P texting and dialer tools, and other organizing tools is a plus;

  • Understanding of canvassing, phonebanking, and other voter and volunteer engagement tactics is a plus;

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish and ties to Maryland politics are pluses, but not required.
