About the Role
The Kristin Egan Campaign is seeking a dedicated and personable Finance Director to lead an ambitious fundraising operation for a candidate who is a career public servant working to put people first. The Finance Director oversees fundraising, donor prospecting, donor management, and database operations.
This position requires a self-starter capable of working independently in an "all-hands-on-deck" political environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the Campaign Manager with integrity and mutual respect, bringing experience in all facets of campaign finance—from high-touch call time management to innovative digital solicitations.
Position Responsibilities
Donor Prospecting & Call Time Management
-
Direct Candidate Management: Lead and enforce the candidate’s daily schedule, with a heavy focus on managing intensive "furlong" call time sessions.
-
Donor Briefing: Prepare the candidate for high-level donor conversations by providing detailed research, giving history, and strategic talking points to convert "potential" donors into strong supporters.
-
Portfolio Growth: Identify and track donor groups, develop creative methods of communicating with donors, and prospect new leads to constantly multiply the donor base.
-
Follow-up: Ensure 100% completion of pledge follow-ups and acknowledgment of all contributions.
Fundraising & Event Leadership
-
Strategy: Create, implement, and monitor a comprehensive fundraising plan to ensure monthly cash flow goals are met.
-
Event Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale fundraising events and mid-level gatherings.
-
Candidate Representation: Attend events with the candidate to manage donor intake and logistics, or represent the campaign on the candidate's behalf to build relationships with local stakeholders.
-
Digital Integration: Coordinate with digital consultants to raise online contributions through innovative email solicitations, social media, and ActBlue optimization.
People Management & Compliance
-
Supervision: Recruit and supervise volunteers, interns, and contractors for events and fundraising strategies.
-
Finance Committee: Establish guidelines for the finance committee, recruit members with the candidate, and lead ongoing communication and activities.
-
Compliance: Coordinate with the Treasurer to monitor compliance and appropriately solicit, track, and report campaign finance contributions and expenditures.
-
Data Integrity: Maintain a clear understanding of PA campaign finance laws and ensure donor database integrity (NGP VAN) for public reporting.
Desired Skills and Experience
-
Experience: At least 1 cycle of campaign experience.
-
Communication: Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills; ability to work as a direct coach to the candidate during donor asks.
-
Technical Fluency: High proficiency in NGP VAN, ActBlue, and Excel.
-
Logistics: Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license is required; ability to relocate to the Bucks County area as necessary.
-
Resilience: Ability to work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation
-
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience (comparable to PA field standards, approximately $4,500–$5,000/month).
-
A platinum healthcare plan is offered through HDCC.
-
This is a campaign cycle position ending mid-November 2026.
