JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Digital Reports To: Deputy Campaign Manager

A US Senate campaign in Kansas is hiring a Digital Director to develop and lead our online presence - building out the campaign’s digital footprint and ongoing content operations, owning the online fundraising program (alongside the finance team) and running the campaign’s social media, web presence and digital advertising strategy from launch through Election Day

Responsibilities

  • Lead the campaign’s digital strategy across all online platforms, including social media, email, website, and digital advertising.

  • Oversee the Digital Fundraising Manager, Deputy Digital Director, and Content Producer to execute an integrated digital program.

  • Coordinate with the Communications Director to ensure message alignment between earned media and digital channels.

  • Manage the campaign’s digital advertising program in partnership with media consultants, including targeting, creative development, and performance optimization.

  • Drive the campaign’s online audience growth, engagement, and digital grassroots mobilization.

  • Oversee digital content calendars, email program strategy, and social media presence.

  • Analyze digital program performance metrics and adjust strategy based on data.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of two cycles of digital campaign experience, with at least one cycle managing a full digital program on a federal or statewide race.

  • Deep expertise in social media strategy, email marketing, digital advertising, and online fundraising.

  • Experience managing digital staff and coordinating with media consultants.

  • Proficiency with digital advertising platforms, email tools, and analytics dashboards.

  • Demonstrated success in growing online audiences and driving digital fundraising revenue.
