Position: Videographer / Social Media Producer
Location: New York City (in-person, with potential travel statewide)
Schedule: Full-time, campaign hours (evenings and weekends as needed)
Compensation: $5,000 per month, plus health care stipend
Start Date: Immediate
End Date: June 23, 2026 [Election Day]
ABOUT THE ROLE
Raj Goyle for New York State Comptroller’s campaign is looking for a full-time Videographer / Social Media Producer to be the eyes and ears of the operation — capturing the candidate, the team, and the movement on the ground, then turning that footage into scroll-stopping content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, X, and YouTube Shorts. We're a fast-moving, digital-first shop. You shoot it, you cut it, you ship it.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be on the candidate’s hip at all times, camera-on.
- Film the candidate at events, on the trail, and in studio settings across New York.
- Edit short-form vertical video for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts with quick, often tight turnaround.
- Collaborate with the digital and communications teams on concepts, scripts, and posting cadence.
- Manage your own gear, footage archive, and project files.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A deep native fluency in the internet, internet culture, and social video trends.
- A reel or portfolio showing strong short-form video work (political, brand, or editorial).
- Fluency in Premiere, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve, plus mobile editing tools such as CapCut.
- Your own camera and editing setup; a native feel for what works on TikTok and Reels.
- Willingness to travel across New York on short notice. Bonus: motion graphics, sound design, or prior campaign experience.
