JOB DESCRIPTION

The Ford for Governor campaign is seeking a full-time Content Producer to join our digital team. The Content Producer will report to the Digital Director and be responsible for creating and editing digital content, including videos, photos, graphics, designs, and other digital assets.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Working with the digital team to brainstorm content ideas, particularly for social media

• Owning the content production and editing processes with input from digital team members

• Collaborating with the digital team on drafts, scripts, shot lists, and other prep materials

• Attending campaign events to capture content, including photos and video content

• Using content editing programs to edit videos, photos, and other original assets

• Creating publishable content from existing assets (e.g. past interview clips, recordings)

• Creating infographics, including for endorsement announcements, policy rollouts, etc.

• Helping manage stakeholders including digital fellows and external consultants as needed

• Assisting with other digital team or campaign-related activities as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Experience creating high quality, eye-catching content using a basic phone camera

• Experience using and access to a professional camera to record videos and take photos

• Experience with video editing, photo editing, and graphic design programs (e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud, Apple Creator Studio, DaVinci, CapCut, Canva)

• Understanding of digital production best practices, such as angles and lighting

• Ability to balance the need for high quality content with efficiency under tight deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively

• Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently

• Ability to move quickly in fast-paced situations such as rapid response moments

• Access to a car and ability to travel with the candidate and campaign in Nevada as needed

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with audio equipment such as microphones and audio content such as podcasts

• Understanding of what kind of content, particularly video content, pops on social media

• Previous experience creating digital fundraising content

• Experience managing and maximizing digital time with a principal
