JOB DESCRIPTION

The Marcy Kaptur for Congress campaign is looking for hardworking, driven college students and recent graduates to join our team. This opportunity is geared towards individuals who are looking to learn from and be part of one of the most competitive congressional races in the nation in 2026. No prior campaign or political experience is necessary for this role, only a sincere interest and passion in Democratic politics and advocacy work.

Fellows will engage in an exciting summer of on-the-ground organizing and serve as ambassadors of the campaign across the district. They’ll work directly with the campaign leadership to execute a voter outreach program that includes activities such as door-to-door canvassing, volunteer recruitment and training, event staffing and intentional relationship-building within the district.

Fellows on the Team Kaptur organizing team can expect to receive mentorship and training from campaign management, as well as significant opportunities for professional development, networking and exposure to experienced campaign operatives. Each week, fellows will participate in an hour-long workshop, with topics including:

  • A deep dive into political organizing

  • Campaign Finance 101

  • Careers in Politics: Options and Trajectories

  • How to craft a great resume

Role Information:

This fellowship program will take place from ** June 22,2026** to** August 7, 2026** and requires a** 15-20 hour/week commitment**. Fellows will receive a**$575** stipend upon successful completion of the program and can receive class credit for participation.
