JOB DESCRIPTION

About the Position: The Maryland Democratic Party is seeking an Finance Intern to support the day-to-day functions of the Finance team during the Summer 2026 internship program. This role will provide hands-on experience in campaign fundraising, donor research, and event building ahead of the 2026 election cycle.

The Finance Intern will play a key role in supporting all facets of the Maryland Democratic Party’s Finance team in preparation for the 2026 Gubernatorial Elections.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support donor research efforts, providing essential information on potential new donors

• Perform direct donor solicitation through call time to support events and fundraising goals

• Support the planning and execution of fundraisers across the region

• Assist with data entry, tracking tools, and internal documentation

• Maintain a clean, organized, and functional office environment

• Provide logistical support for events, trainings, and meetings (prep, check-in, materials distribution)

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative

• Interest in politics, campaigns, or public service is a plus
