Political Fundraising Firm in New York City is seeking a Deputy Finance Director position to aid in the advancement and fundraising of New York City & State clients for the 2026 cycle. This position will be responsible for implementing comprehensive fundraising plans for several clients, managing call time, helping plan and execute low and high-dollar fundraising events, and working on donor research and prospecting. This position will also be responsible for assisting in the execution of compliance programs.
This opportunity provides hands-on leadership experience in the field of New York City & State political fundraising. Candidates should be hard-working, organized, have a strong ability to multitask, work independently and think creatively to problem solve.
Expectations include:

Collaborate and assist the finance director and fundraising team to implement strategic finance plans, driving fundraising success across multiple clients simultaneously.

Organize and staff candidate call times, ensuring seamless execution of schedules and priorities.

Assist in planning and execution of engaging fundraising events, including low-dollar grassroots events and high-dollar gatherings with top donors.

Conduct thorough donor research and prospecting to expand client fundraising networks.

Assist in maintaining and managing client databases and finance plans in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.

Coordinate logistics for travel and provide hands-on support during fundraising events and meetings.

Prepare detailed background materials for client briefings, events, and donor meetings.

Assist in managing accounts within the City & State practice and ensuring the team reaches monthly and bi-annual filing goals.
Qualifications:
-
2-4 years of campaign finance experience, previous experience as a fundraising associate or call time manager preferred

Donor prospecting and research experience is strongly preferred, but not required

Knowledge of Excel and Google Docs is a must, NGP is strongly preferred

Knowledge of Numero and iWave is encouraged

Strong written and communication skills

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed
Salary & Benefits:

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 annually, with potential for bonuses.
