JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Operations & Administration Reports To: Operations Director
The Scheduling Director controls the candidate’s most valuable resource: time. This role manages the daily schedule across fundraising, media, field events, and political engagements, and requires someone who can balance competing demands, say no diplomatically, and keep the candidate focused on what matters most.
Responsibilities

Manage the candidate’s daily schedule, balancing fundraising, media, field events, political engagements, and personal time.

Process and evaluate all scheduling requests in coordination with department heads and the Campaign Manager.

Prepare daily briefing materials and schedule packets for the candidate.

Coordinate with the Advance team on event logistics, site visits, and event execution.

Manage scheduling conflicts and re-prioritize as needed based on campaign strategy.

Maintain the candidate’s long-term scheduling calendar and coordinate travel logistics.

Serve as a gatekeeper for the candidate’s time, ensuring alignment with campaign priorities.
Experience & Qualifications

Prior scheduling experience on a political campaign, in government, or in a corporate executive office.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage competing priorities diplomatically and make sound judgment calls.

Comfort working directly with a candidate and senior staff.

Proficiency with scheduling and calendar management tools.
What Success Looks Like
The Scheduling Director will be measured by the efficient use of the candidate’s time, the smooth execution of the daily schedule, and the ability to balance competing demands while keeping the candidate focused on the highest-impact activities.
Compensation: $60,000 annual
