JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview

Denise Powell for Congress (NE-02) is the top Democratic pickup opportunity in the country. Nebraska’s

2nd Congressional District is an open seat — one of only three Harris-won districts still held by

Republicans — and is rated Lean Democratic by Cook Political Report. On May 12, Denise won a

competitive Democratic primary and now faces Trump-endorsed Brinker Harding in November.

A working mom, small business owner, and community organizer, Denise has out-raised every candidate

in the field — Republican or Democrat — with more than $1.7M from 9,000+ individual donors and 60+

local and national endorsements, including EMILYs List, New Dems, Elect Democratic Women, BOLD PAC,

and The Bench. With House Majority PAC reserving nearly $3M in the district already, NE-02 is on every

must-win list in 2026.

Denise Powell for Congress is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Call Time Manager to play a key

role in executing an aggressive and strategic fundraising program in one of the most competitive

congressional races in the country. This position blends traditional call time management responsibilities

with event staffing, donor engagement, and cross-team operational support. The Call Time Manager will

work closely with the Finance Director and Campaign Manager to ensure the candidate’s time is

maximized for fundraising success while also contributing to broader campaign operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and staff call time: Prepare call lists, donor research, and briefing materials; track

pledges and follow-ups; ensure daily fundraising goals are met.

• Support donor relations: Maintain accurate records, manage donor communications, and help

build and sustain donor pipelines.

• Assist with fundraising events: Coordinate and staff events; handle logistics, materials, and

post-event follow-up with the Finance Director.

• Staff the candidate: Prepare Denise for events and call time with briefings and talking points;

maximize fundraising opportunities during engagements.

• Contribute to campaign operations: Collaborate across teams on scheduling, logistics, and

finance tracking systems to support overall campaign goals.

• Facilitate internship program: In partnership with the Finance Director and Finance Assistant,

assist in managing future interns and their projects.

Qualifications

• Prior campaign finance experience welcome (one cycle preferred) but not required.

• A meticulous eye for detail and the discipline to keep moving pieces tracked.

• Steady under pressure, able to juggle competing deadlines without dropping any.

• Sharp written and verbal communication.

• Confident working shoulder-to-shoulder with the candidate, major donors, and senior staff.

• Working knowledge of NGP/VAN, ActBlue, and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets is a plus.

Requirements

• Access to a personal vehicle for in-district travel.

• Willingness to work periodic evenings and weekends as the calendar demands.

• Based in or willing to relocate to Omaha, NE; this is an in-person role.

• Position runs from immediate start through November 2026.

Compensation

• $4,500–$5,500 per month, commensurate with experience.
