JOB DESCRIPTION
The Maine Democratic Party (MDP) is hiring Field Organizers for the 2026 Coordinated Campaign to help defeat Susan Collins, elect a Democratic Governor, protect Maine's 2nd Congressional District, and support Democratic victories across the ballot.
No prior political or campaign experience is required. Applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to be on the front lines of one of the most important elections in the country. Field Organizers will engage directly with voters every day through door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and community outreach.
This is a full-time, temporary position averaging 55 hours per week through the second week of November 2026.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily voter outreach through door-to-door canvassing and phone banking.

Meet daily and weekly voter contact goals.

Represent the campaign in your community.

Enter voter contact data accurately.

Travel throughout your assigned region.

Assist with campaign events and GOTV efforts.

Reliable transportation, laptop, and cell phone.

Previous organizing experience is a plus but not required.
Compensation & Benefits

$19.00/hour plus overtime eligibility.
