JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft and execute a comprehensive campaign finance plan that includes call time, events, in and out-of-state fundraisers, meetings with donors, and digital fundraising.

  • Develop and oversee fundraising projections, cash flow, revenue tracking, and budgeting in collaboration with the Campaign Manager.

  • Serve as the campaign's lead fundraiser, cultivating relationships with donors, bundlers, PACs, campaign partners, and national stakeholders.

  • Develop and execute creative strategies to maximize existing fundraising programs and identify new revenue opportunities.

  • Train and manage finance staff, including a call time manager, finance associate, and house party team.

  • Work with the finance team and campaign manager to oversee call-time programs with the candidate, expand existing donor databases, and plan fundraising events.

  • Duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • At least one full cycle of campaign finance experience,

  • Familiarity with PDI (the California version of NPG Van), ActBlue, Numero, Quo, Google Drive, and spreadsheets.

  • Previous Warchest and Call Time experience.

  • Exceptional organizational and communications skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion.

  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and an ability to prioritize multiple assignments.

  • Willingness to work nontraditional hours and weekends in the weeks leading up to the general.

  • Experience working with women of color in leadership positions preferred

ABOUT MAI AND CA-07

Mai is the daughter of Hmong refugees, born and raised in Sacramento. Mai’s parents fled war in Laos and arrived in California to find a new life.

As the oldest of 16 children, she helped raise her siblings while working hard to build a career dedicated to helping her community thrive. Mai is a proud product of public schools and was the first in her family to attend college. As a young organizer, Mai returned home to serve the community that raised and supported her.

Mai Vang is running in California's 7th Congressional District. During the primary, the campaign raised nearly $1 million, finished first, and advanced to the general election against incumbent Doris Matsui.
