About the Campaign
Senator Scott Wiener is a leading voice for progress in California and a proven champion for our values. Scott has delivered real results on issues like housing, transportation, climate change, LGBTQ+ equality, and criminal justice reform. Now, he's running for Congress to bring his effective, progressive leadership to Washington, D.C. His campaign is building a diverse, passionate, and dedicated team to engage voters across the city and secure victory in 2026.
Position Summary
The Westside Organizer will lead grassroots organizing across Districts 1, 4, and 7 — the west side of San Francisco. The role is relationship-first early in the cycle and turnout-focused as Election Day approaches: building a network of supporters and volunteers, getting Scott in front of voters, and converting that energy into doors and votes.
Key Responsibilities
-
Serve as the lead organizer for Districts 1, 4, and 7, working under the west-side organizing lead.
-
Early cycle: focus on 1:1s and relationship-building across the west side.
-
Schedule and run 1:1s, house parties, and community events that put Scott in front of voters — then build turnout for them.
-
Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for events and canvasses.
-
Near the election (GOTV): shift fully to canvasses and direct voter outreach.
-
Carry and hit personal turnout and door-knocking goals, tracked weekly.
Goals & Metrics
-
8 completed 1:1s per week.
-
2 house parties scheduled and completed per month.
-
2 other community events scheduled and completed per month.
-
GOTV phase: canvasses and voter-outreach events built and executed (doors).
-
Responsible for owning a data-driven goal-oriented voter contact and organizing program
Qualifications
-
Experience in organizing or field on electoral campaigns, or comparable community organizing.
-
Ability to build a network from scratch, recruit volunteers, and keep them engaged.
-
Comfortable knocking doors and leading others to do the same.
-
Proficiency with VAN (PDI experience ok as a stand-in), Mobilize, and Google Workspace, or the ability to learn quickly.
-
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
-
Ability to work long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
-
Ties to or knowledge of the Richmond, Sunset, and west side are a strong plus.
-
Commitment to progressive values and the Democratic Party.
