Overview

The campaign is seeking a Social Media Manager and content creator to join our dynamic team. The role

includes creating content, managing social media communities and driving engagement with voters,

supporters, and volunteers across the campaign’s various digital platforms. This position offers an

exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact as part of a key, high-profile statewide race. The ideal

candidate is a highly creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of

social media trends and best practices. Additionally, this individual must be highly motivated, passionate,

energetic, organized, and enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

 Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies across a range of social media

platforms to support and advance the campaign’s goals.

 Create, curate, and manage engaging content that represent the candidate’s voice and values

and are consistent with the campaign’s messaging and overall goals.

 Manage social media communities and conversations including engaging and interacting with

voters and supporters in a respectful and professional manner.

 Coordinate with communications, field, and fundraising teams to ensure messaging consistency

and maximize impact.

 Track and analyze performance metrics to optimize content and engagement, providing regular

reports to campaign leadership.

 Stay informed of current events, trends, and issues relevant to the campaign and proactively

adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications

 Proven experience managing social media for political campaigns, elected officials, Democratic

organizations, nonprofits or brands.

 Strong knowledge of and experience with popular social media platforms including, but not limited

to Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.

 Experience with video editing and graphic design

 Excellent visual storytelling skills.

 Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting.

 Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

 Team-player who enjoys working collaboratively.

 Flexibility to work nights and weekends, as needed.
