About the Campaign
Rear Admiral Nancy Lacore is the Democratic nominee for Congress in South Carolina's First District. As the campaign enters the general election, we're expanding our team to support an increasingly active campaign schedule and growing community engagement across the Lowcountry.
Position Summary
The Outreach & Operations Director will oversee the campaign's scheduling, community outreach, event logistics, and candidate support. This role will work closely with the Campaign Manager to ensure the candidate is prepared for every event and that campaign operations run efficiently.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Scheduling & Candidate Support

Manage the candidate's campaign calendar.

Coordinate scheduling logistics with event hosts and community organizations.

Ensure the candidate receives timely briefing materials for all campaign events.

Manage the campaign's memo process and collect information from staff necessary to prepare candidate briefings.

Coordinate staffing plans for campaign events.
Community Outreach

Identify opportunities for community engagement throughout the district.

Build relationships with local organizations, Democratic clubs, elected officials, and community leaders.

Work with hosts to develop campaign events, meet-and-greets, and volunteer opportunities.

Maintain ongoing communication with community partners and event organizers.
Campaign Operations

Coordinate event logistics, including schedules, staffing, and materials.

Ensure campaign events are properly staffed and executed.

Track upcoming events and deadlines.

Support special projects and campaign priorities as assigned by the Campaign Manager.
Qualifications

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Ability to manage multiple competing priorities under tight deadlines.

Experience with political campaigns, nonprofits, government, or event planning preferred.

Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Comfortable working evenings and weekends.

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout South Carolina's First Congressional District.
