About the Campaign
Rear Admiral Nancy Lacore is the Democratic nominee for Congress in South Carolina's First District. We're building an ambitious, districtwide organizing program focused on volunteer engagement, voter contact, and winning one of the most competitive House races in the country.
Position Summary
The Organizing Director will build and manage the campaign's field operation through Election Day. Reporting directly to the Campaign Manager, this person will oversee organizers and volunteers, develop and execute the field plan, coordinate with state and national partners, and ensure the campaign meets its voter contact goals.
This position requires someone who can think strategically while also managing the day-to-day details of a large volunteer operation.
Responsibilities

Develop and execute the campaign's districtwide organizing strategy.

Build, manage, and mentor a team of organizers.

Recruit, train, and retain volunteers across the district.

Develop volunteer leadership structures and identify volunteer captains.

Set, monitor, and report weekly voter contact goals.

Coordinate canvasses, phone banks, text banks, and other organizing activities.

Serve as the campaign's primary liaison with the South Carolina Democratic Party, coordinated campaign, and partner organizations.

Coordinate voter contact efforts with allied campaigns and local Democratic organizations.

Maintain voter identification data and ensure timely reporting to campaign leadership and national partners.

Ensure organizers have the materials, messaging, and logistical support necessary to execute successful voter contact programs.

Work closely with senior staff to adjust organizing strategy based on campaign priorities and performance.
Qualifications

At least one cycle of organizing or field management experience; multiple cycles preferred.

Experience managing organizers and volunteers.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Comfortable working evenings and weekends.

Experience with VAN/MiniVAN and organizing data systems strongly preferred.

Ability to travel extensively throughout South Carolina's First Congressional District.

Passion for electing Democrats and building volunteer-driven campaigns.
