JOB DESCRIPTION

The Stephanie Guerrero Sáenz campaign is seeking a Finance Director to lead our fundraising operation in our race for Texas State House District 34. HD-34 is a top-target seat in 2026, and this position is central to resourcing a winning campaign against the Republican incumbent. The Finance Director will drive execution of the campaign's Finance Plan, build the donor network across Nueces County and statewide, run a robust events program, and partner closely with the candidate on call time. This is an in-person position is based in Corpus Christi and requires regular travel and willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Execute and manage the campaign's Finance Plan through the November 2026 general election, tracking against benchmarks and adjusting as conditions change.

  • Build and staff the candidate's daily call time, prepping call sheets and tracking follow-up.

  • Deliver detailed projections and reports to senior staff and maintain accurate fundraising trackers.

  • Plan, staff, and run the campaign's events program end to end.

  • Identify gaps in the donor universe and present creative strategies to expand the candidate's network through targeted events and prospecting.

  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

Work, volunteer, academic, and life experience are all acceptable

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly and open attitude

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines to complete projects

  • At least one cycle in a campaign role (call time manager, deputy finance director,

  • or finance experience preferred, but open to other roles).

  • Capacity to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, both in-person and remotely

  • Valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and ability to travel statewide (less than 10%)

  • Ties to Texas or knowledge of Texas politics preferred but not required.
