JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: Data & Analytics

*Hamilton for Kansas is hiring a Data Associate to handle the day-to-day data work that keeps the campaign running — data entry, quality control, VAN support, and routine reporting for the field team. This is a good entry point into campaign data work with mentorship from a full data team on a major race.*

Responsibilities

  • Assist the data team with day-to-day data entry, quality control, and maintenance of the campaign’s data systems.

  • Process and clean voter contact data, event sign-in sheets, and volunteer information.

  • Support VAN administration tasks including account creation, list loading, and survey question management.

  • Generate routine reports on voter contact, volunteer activity, and other key metrics.

  • Assist with turf cutting and targeting list generation for field and canvassing operations.

  • Respond to data support requests from field organizers and regional directors.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with spreadsheets and basic data management tools.

  • Prior campaign or political data experience preferred but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large volumes of data.

  • Basic knowledge of VAN/VoteBuilder or willingness to learn.

  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple routine tasks simultaneously.

What Success Looks Like

The Data Associate will be measured by the accuracy and timeliness of data entry and processing, the responsiveness to field staff data requests, and the overall cleanliness and reliability of the campaign’s operational data.

Compensation: $65,000
