JOB DESCRIPTION

Josh Turek for Iowa is seeking a creative, organized, and hardworking Digital Associate to join the campaign’s digital team. The Digital Associate will play an important role across the campaign’s digital program, supporting social media, content production, creator partnerships, and digital fundraising.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and digital communicator who is passionate about creating engaging online content and helping elect Josh Turek to the U.S. Senate. This person will work under the Digital Director and Deputy Digital Director and will be expected to relocate to Des Moines, Iowa, as soon as possible.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Help draft, schedule, and publish content across the campaign’s social media platforms

  • Support the digital fundraising program, including brainstorming content, drafting rapid response copy, contributing to quality assurance, and tracking performance

  • Help manage and produce content for the campaign’s vertical video program (including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts)

  • Support creator and influencer outreach and management

  • Assist in managing digital fundraising partnerships program

  • Produce digital assets, including videos, graphics, and toolkits

  • Keep a pulse on emerging trends, news, and online conversations and bring new content and rapid-response ideas to the team

  • Assist with campaign event staffing and content capture

  • Pitch in wherever needed to support a fast-moving campaign

Successful candidates will have:

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience (including internships) in digital communications, social media, campaigns, or related fields

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Strong understanding of online trends, platform best practices, and digital culture

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

  • Experience filming and editing vertical video (CapCut, Premiere, or similar) preferred

  • Graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar tools is a plus

  • Valid driver’s license, and reliable access to a vehicle preferred
